If you do not currently have an automated sprinkler system in Florida, you are probably pretty tired of moving hoses all over your yard and watering by hand? Not to mention disappointed by the results of your lawn due to inconsistent watering.

Is it time to understand how a sprinkler system works. Here is a list of the main components of a sprinkler system:

Components

The basic parts of an automated irrigation system are comprised of:

Controller
The controller functions as the brains of the system.

Valves
Values open and close to release and stop the flow of water to underground pipes.

Sprinklers

These distribute water to specific areas.

Customizable Parts

  • Rain shut off devices,
  • Soil moisture sensors, and
  • Drip irrigation zones.

One Manufacturer
It is a standard practice to keep all of the components manufactured by the same company to ensure that they are compatible and work well together. Plus, it will help with your warranty protection.
