How would you describe your role and responsibilities at Sunrise Irrigation?
My role is centered around adaptability and strong teamwork. As Sunrise Irrigation continues to grow and expand its services, we’re constantly faced with new challenges. Tackling these effectively requires flexibility and collaboration, and I’m fortunate to be part of a dedicated team that makes it all possible.
What do you enjoy most about working at Sunrise Irrigation?
What I enjoy most about working at Sunrise Irrigation is the strong, supportive culture that’s been built here. Not every day goes exactly as planned—as is the case in life—but the dedication of our team allows us to stay focused on what truly matters: delivering an amazing product and excellent customer service. Mistakes are part of the process, but the emphasis on learning and growth, with guidance from both management and team members, creates a positive and empowering work environment.
Are there any colleagues or mentors who have had a significant impact on your career here?
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to have had many incredible mentors, coaches, and supervisors. However, Joe and Deena truly stand out. Their knowledge, dedication, and mental fortitude are deeply inspiring. Every day I have the opportunity to work with them—or even just be around them—I grow, not only as a professional but as a person.
Tell me a bit about your background and where you’re from.
I was born in a small farming town in Nebraska and moved to Northeast Ohio very young. I attended grade school, high school, and college at the University of Akron. My parents moved to Florida when I was 22 and when I came down to visit them in Dunedin, I fell in love with the area and decided at that moment, I was moving down first chance I could. Within 6 months, I was a full time Flordian and was that best choice I ever made.
What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of work?
I love everything outdoors, fishing, kayaking, camping, hunting, and exploring nature off the beaten path.
Who is the most influential person in your life and how have they inspired you?
I have two role models—my mother and father. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been raised by such hardworking and dedicated parents who led by example. They showed me the value of commitment, perseverance, and what those qualities can help you achieve. Most importantly, they taught me to always treat others with respect, no matter the circumstances.
